Eric Van de Poele gaat dat dit weekend proberen te regelen. Het zou voor 17 september zijn, het weekend dat normaal de F1 had gereden

Omdat ik al enkele mails kreeg met de vraag wat er juist te doen is op dat weekend, heb ik eens contact genomen met één van de organisatoren. Blijkbaar zijn de contracten getekend (voor zo ver dat iets betekend in Spa ;) ) Het is dit http://www.abc-events.be/hotnews.asp?id=9

Dit zal gecombineerd worden met de 4° manche van de belgiandrifseries.be.

Indien het doorgaat zal het wel Spa worden:

Nou, wat denken we hiervan:

Under the terms of the contract, the race would be co-promoted with MediaGroup Van Dyck, promoters of Belcar, Belgium's successful GT and Touring Car Championship, who would lease a 'white' circuit from the Communes of Malmedy and Stavelot, co-owners of the Ardennes circuit.

Race administration and support services would be supplied by Zolder, Belgium's other former Grand Prix circuit, which had originally applied for a GPM date, but found itself unable to accommodate a race this year due to calendar clashes.

A.s. maandag zou e.e.a. oficieel bekend worden. Datum zou 17 september worden. Waarschijnlijk gaat Emmerson Fittipaldi dan voor de eerste keer rijden op Spa, komt zijn vervlogen jongensdroom alsnog uit.
