Local government at the Belgian region of Wallonia has seized control of the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, autosport.com has learned.
Autosport.com understands the government converted 15 million EUR it has been owed by the Societe into equity in the circuit.
A new management board is set to be announced on May 31st, with the new board expected to be in favour of disposing those components of the circuit that not owned by the communities of Stavelot and Malmedy plus all promotional rights.
