An up-and-coming 17-year-old female drag racer from Tecumseh, Ont., was killed after her jet-propelled dragster hit a wall at 500 kilometres per hour.
Kendall Hebert died Sunday when her rocket car veered off the end of the quarter-mile track at Toronto Motorsport Park race track near Hamilton.

However, when she cut the engine and deployed the parachute braking device, a gust of wind caught the parachute and pulled the car over a concrete barrier.
