Opkoop van Prost: De feiten en de komende rechtzaken

Prost stond sinds het Failliet enkele weken terug in de uitverkoop. De rechtbank van Versailles moest waken over de Openbare verkoop.

Tijdens die verkoop zijn er 2 biedingen binnengekomen:

- Paul Stoddart met een bod dat volgens hemzelf ergens tussen de 30 en de 60 miljoen US$ zou gelegen hebben.
- TWR met een bod van 2,5 miljoen euro.

Hoewel het bod van TWR beduidend lager is dan dat van Stoddart zou de rechtbank van Versailles nu toch verkocht hebben aan TWR via tussenpersoon Charles Nickerson (een Britse zakenman).

De reactie van Stoddart: Dit is een schande, dit komt nog voor de GP van Maleisïe voor de rechtbank.

Voor zover ik prost nog een kans gaf om na het failliet aan de start te verschijnen worden de kansen door deze ontwikkelingen steeds maar kleiner.

Tom Walkinshaw mag dan wel zeggen dat de overblijfselen van Prost in Maleisïe aan de start komen (of toch ten laatste in Brazilïe). Echt geloofwaardig is dit niet. Prost heeft nog geen motoren, geen sponsors, geen piloten, geen teamstructuur meer. Hetgeen nog overblijft zijn een hoopje onderdelen, wat technische tekeningen en een startlicentie. Het lijkt onwaarschijnlijk, zoniet onmogelijk dat Tom Walkinshaw dit op 2 of 3 weken in orde krijgt. Zeker nu er eerst nog een rechtzaak blijft te komen die de boel ook nog een tijdje ophoudt.

As driver prospects go for the new team, Walkinshaw told Reuters that it would be existing superlicence holders - suggesting that last year's Prost driver Tomas Enge may be enticed back, and sacked Arrows driver Jos Verstappen could be re-employed at the new team to somehow avoid an impending law-suit for breach of contract.


die schalkse Walkinshaw toch. Verstappen snel een stoeltje geven om vanonder de rechtzaak onder uit te raken. Voor de rest met een malafide constructie Prost opkopen voor een belachelijk laag bedrag terwijl anderen meer boden :frusty: en zo de schuldeiser's van Prost eigenlijk oplichten.

Sry zene, mor voor zover ik Walkinshaw nog niet de rotten appel van de F1 vond is hij nu zeker de rotten appel :fight: .

A war erupted earlier today over the 'sale' of Prost GP. The following is a statement from the French outfit regarding the current situation.

Maître Cosme Rogeau, court appointed liquidator of the Prost Grand Prix company, wishes to explain that he had set a deadline on February, 28th at 11:00 am for buy out offers of the Prost Grand Prix production unit to be delivered.

This time limit had been established in order to allow a potential buyer to comply with the deadline imposed by the FIA regarding the drivers registration on the 2002 entry list, the deadline of which was set on February 28th at 4pm. Maître Rogeau points out that no buy out offer of the Prost Grand Prix production unit was delivered before the expiration of the deadline and he wishes to confirm that the Commercial Court of Versailles received a proposal for a partial offer dealing with:

1 - the acquisition of the AP04 and AP05 chassis intellectual property
2 - the acquisition of the AP05 pieces and elements
3 - the acquisition of the rights related to the Concorde Agreement
4 - the hiring of some AP04 chassis elements and related parts

The Commercial Court of Versailles, by judgment given on February, 28th at 3:10pm Paris time, ordained the assignment of the above- mentioned elements and the transfer of property to the company PHOENIX FINANCE Ltd, represented by Mr Charles J. Nickerson.

The adjustment of the legal acts is in the process of being finalized and Rougeau now wishes to draw attention to the fact that this is not in any case an assignment of the Prost Grand Prix company. He also indicates that the working plant elements will be auctioned in the coming weeks, in accordance with the order of the “Juge Commissaire” edicted on February 19th 2002.

He also confirmed that the name “Prost Grand Prix" is not included in the assignment and finally, reminds the fact that he is still looking for bidders for the acquisition of the Guyancourt facilities and the Magny-Cours windtunnel.


Dit is iets duidelijker. Toch vind ik de omstandigheden waarin de verkoop plaatsvindt vrij duister. Vooral het belachelijke bedrag van de aankoop 3 miljoen €.

Inderdaad.
Je koopt wat chassis' en onderdelen en de Concorde overeenkomst van het team (dit vind ik het opmerkelijkste) maar je koopt niet de naam, je hebt geen motoren, enz.
Of vind Walkinshaw het ex-Prost chassis zoveel beter dan dat van zijn Arrows team?
Effe rap kopen en dan inzetten onder de naam Arrows. :confused:

3 miljoen euro is en blijft een koopje. Hij zal wel zorgen dat hij een monoquoque met 4 wielen op het circuit krijgt. Binnen dit en afzienbare tijd zal er wel een nieuwe constructeur geintresseerd zijn in de F1 waaraan hij dan zijn koopje van da hand kan doen voor veel geld. Ik kan me echter niet voorstellen dat phoenix ooit van de laatste plaats raakt zoals het er nu naar uitziet.
