Max mosley heeft weer eens plannen ...
According to today's Guardian FIA President Max Mosley has proposed a new plan to introduce a third championship to Formula One. While the drivers and manufacturers each have their own championship, Mosley is in favour of beginning on for the engine manufacturers as well.
Engine manufacturers would therefore be encouraged to support more than one team in the hope of being able to score as many points as possible. This means that Cosworth would score points from Jaguar and Arrows this season as they supply engines to both teams, while Ferrari would score from Ferrari and Sauber, and Honda off BAR and Jordan.
The Guardian stated that Mosley had circulated his plan to all F1 teams in the run-up to last weekend's Monaco Grand Prix explaining his new idea for the third championship. The idea he hopes would also create more interest to add to the battles for the drivers' and car constructors' championships.
