All Belgian line up for PiR Debora

An all Belgian driver line up will take part in the 6th round of the FIA Sportscar Championship at Spa this weekend. David Sterckx, Frederic Bouvy and Christophe Geoffroy will team up in an un-official Racing For Belgium squad in the PiR Competition Debora Nissan. The trio will call on their Spa track knowledge to battle it out in the three litre category and drum up home support at the scenic Ardennes track.

David Sterckx comes to the track after after finishing a fine second in the Spa 24 Hours last month and the Belgian is rated as a real star in his homeland. The 26 year old was also a front runner in the ultra competetive Formula Nissan Championship before setting his sights on a sportscar career.

Bouvy, living in Brusse, started his career in quad-racing winning several Belgian titles. Ten years ago he changed to circuit racing and was particularly succesful in salooncars. Becoming Procar-champion (the Belgian salooncar championship) in 2000 and winning twice the famous 24 Hours of Francorchamps. Twice in a Peugeot 306.

Christophe Geoffroy will complete the all Belgian line up in the Nissan powered car and the former Radical champion is expected to also make a real name for himself on his International sportscar debut this weekend. All three drivers have been drafted in to Pierre Bruneau's team after both Marc Rostan and Ludovico Manfredi had to withdraw due to personal reasons. Paul Daniels as a consequence has moved over to the teams other car, the Pilbeam Sodemo Peugeot.
