Dit moet zowat de eerste keer zijn dat ik hier zelf een thread start, maar dit spel fascineert me wel. daarom deze vraag : kent er iemand anders dit spel en (belangrijker nog) heeft hij er ervaring mee? Tips, trucs, cheats?
Het gaat dus om "the original". Dit voor alle duidelijkheid.

Be Late for Work and Not Get in Trouble
Platform: PC

First you have to turn ''Free Will'' off. Then you get some body who isnt working (or even someone who is) and have them stand in front of your ride to work, and then you can have the late person shower, eat, drink coffee, and even have a quick cat nap!!! Then when you want the late person to go to work, have him just get in the car, and have the person infront of the car go to work also!!! Or if he doesn''t work, he can have a nap to!
Building a Castle in the Clouds
Platform: PC

Large second-floor extensions to a house, or even an entire house in the air, can be built totally unsupported by the following method. First, lay out a complete ground layer of pillars. You'll need lots to form a surface to build on. Next build your second-floor home on top of these pillars. It's important that you do ALL the structural work at this point; get all the walls placed and floors put in. Don't forget the stairs! Next, simply switch to the ground floor, and delete all the pillars. The house will remain standing, completely unsupported by anything except thin air! Voila! A castle in the clouds for your Sims!
Character Boost
Platform: PC

Ok, this is a nifty cheat (i sure damn well hope i can remember it=). Ok, start your character. This will give you max stats in cooking and stuff. Now, buy the thing you want to get really good in (like cooking, so buy a library). also, buy a chair or something. Now, set the mode to fast (after sitting down or whatever and cracking open that book). Your guy will lose his stats. When he gets really tired (which, should be after getting one or two stat points in that stat thing), evict him from his house, kick him out, or whatever its called. Now, go back into that character. Just keep repeating this process with every skill and he will be maxed out!

Easter Egg: Scooter Guy
Platform: PC

When you insert the CD, an autoplay menu should come up and in the bottom left hand corner there is a "Maxis" logo. Click on the logo and it should show you a picture of a guy on a scooter.
Fast Money
Platform: PC

Bring up cheat mode and enter the "klapaucius" code. The bring up cheat mode again and enter "!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!; !;!;!;!;!:!;!" (you may add up to 60 total).
Free Food
Platform: PC

Simply click on the fride and select "have a snack". when the outline of the fridge icon is yellow click on the picture in the top right hand corner and the sim will take out a bag of crisps and put it on the floor without paying and then make them eat it.
Free Garbage Collection
Platform: PC

Even easier than the other cheat for the garbge can on this page is this: when the garbage can gets full, simply go into buy mode. you can sell your full can for the full $30, then buy a new one for the same price. enjoy this time-saving tip.
Garbage Bag of Holding
Platform: PC

In the early stages of The Sims life time is often wasted emptying the trash and bringing it to the curb. I found that if you fill the cheap 30 simolian trash barrel you can order your sim to empty it and just as they remove the bag cancel the order. Then order them to pick up the mess that they just made and they will return the full bag to an empty barrel, which will now be empty. Do this every time it fills and trash need never be brought outside to the curb again. This saves a lot of time.
Money cheat for patch version
Platform: PC

If you downloaded the patch update for the sims the new money cheat is ROSEBUD and after you do the cheat to get more simoleons still enter the !; after you do all of the !; you can on the cheat line highlight it and press Ctrl and the letter x (ctrl x) this will cut the text then bring up the cheat bar again and this time press (ctrl v)this will past the cheat back into the cheat box do this as many times as yoou want and you can tell Regis I want to be a Millionaire and I'm going to be. Enjoy being rich!
No Bills Forever
Platform: PC

This is cool.If your tired of paying all those bills,you can tell Sim-postal worker to stop coming over.hit ctrl+shift+c and type move_objects on
then go into buy mode,click the mailbox and no more bills forever.
Paying the Bills
Platform: PC

Simply keep a bill, unpaid, until the mail carrier delivers the next set. When your flag is up (your mailbox being full of-- what else, more bills), pay the first one (i.e., bring it out to the mailbox.) When you do this, the newer bills disappear. Using this cheat, you will only have to pay every other bill, instead of every one.
Raise Sims Mood Bars
Platform: PC

When using the move_object cheat you can restore your Sims mood bars by getting your Sim to sit in a chair, pausing the game and deleting the chair that your Sim is in. Your Sim will disappear. Unpause the game and click on your Sims face icon and your Sim will reappear with some restored bars.
Teleporting Maid
Platform: PC

If you have a maid, build walls around her so she cannot escape the box. Wait for a little bit and she will be teleported away.
Unlimited money
Platform: PC

To recieve unlimited amounts of money hold ctrl+shift+c.A little green box should appear in the top left hand corner of the screen.Type "Klapaucius" then enter.Bring the box up again by holding ctrl+shift+c and type ";!;!;!;"; the ! says repeat the action and the ; separates the commands.You can do this up to sixty times.So now if you want your Sims to be millionaires they can be!

Ik ben zelf ook verslaafd geweest aan dit spel, maar na een tijdje word je dat echt wel beu zenne.

Huizekes zitten bouwen, gezinnekes gesticht, maar na een tijd kwam het zo ver dat mijn jongste kind door verwaarlozing naar het leger ging (dat was dus de straf; naar het leger gaan :D ), mijn huisvrouw haar man kotsbeu was en de vader des huizes geen serieuze job meer kon vinden.

Het leukste is nog altijd als ge ne baby hebt en ze willen hem komen weghalen, snel de deuren en ramen veranderen in gewone muur als dat mens de kleine vast heeft!!
