Ik denk dat Murray Walker toch een beetje dement begint te worden...

Says Murray Walker
Murray Walker may be out of the commentary box but the long term ‘voice of Formula One' is far from quiet over all the talk of Ferrari's dominance hurting the series he has so much passion for.
Walker, who walked away from his position at ITV at the end of last season and handing the microphone over to James Allen, is irritated by reports that Formula One is boring because Michael Schumacher and teammate Rubens Barrichello won 15 of the 2002 season's 17 races. To him, Michael Schumacher is nothing but pure genius on the track and everyone should be rejoicing in the fact that they are in the era where they can witness his racing talent first hand.
"People who are getting fed up with Michael Schumacher ought to realise that the man is a living genius, the like of which has been seldom seen in the history of motor racing," he told BBC online. “People who are watching him now ought to rejoice in the fact that they are able to watch him. In years to come there are going to be people talking about Schumacher with reverence, so I say make the most of it.”
However, after several seasons of succuss following a 21 year absence from the top of the leaderboard, Walker also believes that Ferrari's time at the top won't last forever…..
“Ferrari, having been in the abyss for years, have done everything right, they've got the right people, the right facilities, and spent a mint of money on getting Michael Schumacher, who's the best driver in the world. And it's not going to last because that's the nature of Formula One. When I started in covering the sport in 1949 it was Alfa Romeo who were unbeatable, then it was Ferrari, then Mercedes-Benz. More recently it was Williams, then McLaren and now it's Ferrari. For one reason or another they have all gone into decline and have been caught and that will happen to Ferrari."
