Team Astromega test report Day 2_
Official Fia F3000 Test Barcelona Thu 10 & Fri 11 April 2003
Weather: Dry and Sunny between 22°C and 24°C _
The team’s mechanics worked hard to improve both cars during yesterday evening. After analysing the data of yesterday the team worked from there to find a better set up for today. Both drivers where happy with there set up this morning. Tony as 8th quickest with a time of 1.32.894. Jeffrey meanwhile was 1Oth quickest with a time of 1.33.084. _
Track Conditions changed a lot in the afternoon, with temperatures above the 20°Cel. To put in a strong lap was a gamble. With more work on the set up both drivers went out when the track temperature was over 40°C. _
Sam Boyle Team manager added: We had a very good test today. We are happy with the progress we made. We worked trough our set up and it’s better to work on that than going for a quick lap on low fuel or new tyres. It’s now rushing back home because we have our first race for the Belgian Formula Renault Championship tomorrow and on Sunday. After that well, we will be on our way to Imola. _
