reactie van Jeff'

Team Astromega's Jeffrey van Hooydonk says he's delighted, but surprised, to have qualified on the second row for tomorrow's race in Barcelona.

"It was a surprise to me, the car was not so good in free practise. I was two seconds off the pace," he said.

"The team worked hard and now I'm only four tenths shy from pole. Not bad. I took a lot off risk today but I'm a happy man."

"For the race it will all depend on what the tyres will do. Overtaking is not so easy, but we will try hard tomorrow to deliver and I'm sure it will be a fantastic race."

Team Manager Sam Boyle was a happy man too: "We knew from free practice that the tyres only lasted for three laps. So we had to pick out the right moment to go out. Jeffrey did a fantastic job, giving the engineers hard work between free practice and qualifying but it paid off."
