Ik had vorig jaar eens een artikel gelezen en de inhoud schoot mij nu te binnen: Eric Bachelart is team-eigenaar in de Indy Lights.
CONQUEST RACING [9/7]: This is a current Indy Lights team owned in part by retired CART driver Eric Bachelart. The team has been trying for several years to find the money to launch an IRNLS effort. On August 21, they put European formula driver Laurent Redon through the IRNLS rookie test at Chicagoland, and they plan to enter him in the last two races (Chicagoland and Texas) of this season. According to the IRNLS Web site, they will have sponsorship from perennial Indy sponsors Mi-Jack, and from HYPE (a sports-drink brand which was active in NASCAR a couple of years ago). The team has hired chief mechanic extraordinare Darrell Soppe, recently of Menard. The Indy Lights series disappears at the end of the season, so it's not clear what this team's plans are. They may stay in the IRNLS or they may field a car in IRIPS series.
