12 teams in 2k2 championship ?

According to recent reports in Autosport Magazine there could be 12
teams competing in the 2002 Formula One World Championship. The
twelfth team could be Prost Grand Prix, but instead of Alain Prost heading the team it could be former BAR team boss Craig Pollock who
is at the helm.
Pollock is reported keen on acquiring Prost Grand Prix and all its
remaining assets, and could do so for as little as 500,000 pounds.
The French team was formerly put into liquidation earlier this year
after Prost failed to find backers to keep them going. But now it
appears as if the team may have found a lifeline in the former of
Pollock.
He is believed to be considering entering the team in the 2002 world
championship, using last year's AP04 chassis and customer Ferrari
engines. Then come the end of the year he is planning to sell the
team as a going concern or linking up with another team. However he
has until the start of next week to make a decision and purchase Prost's assets or they will be auctioned off by the French courts.
Should Pollock buy Prost it throws up a number of interesting
scenarios especially about who the team's two drivers will be. As
present he is the personal manager to BAR's Jacques Villeneuve, who
may decide to follow his friend, and should he acquire Prost it may
give Jos Verstappen's F1 career a boost as he recently lost his seat
at Arrows to former Prost driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen.
