After going through a streak of disappointing results since his return in the World Rally Championship in Corsica, Harri Rovanpera wants major improvements on his car before starting another rally.

The Finn is not hiding his frustration with the Fabia WRC and the lack of development work from Red Bull Skoda since he joined the team.

“As far as my patience is concerned we are so called on the limit," said Rovapanrea to the STT News Agency. “The machinery has to be put into order. There is no point in dawdling through the rallies in the Championship, unless we get more speed out the thing.”

“In the next rally the car has to go better, whether the rally is in Cyprus, Turkey or Finland. We know that the car cannot be brought to the level of Citroen, Ford or Peugeot, but we absolutely have to get closer to their speed,” added the Finn.

“The steering is wrong, and there's work to be done with transmission and suspension. In addition to these, we would need someone to work on the engine. The lack of power is evident,” explained a frustrated Rovanpera after the Acropolis Rally.

Testing is on the agenda for this summer and that will help Rovanpera to decide if he will continue or not with Red Bull Skoda.

“In a meeting we had after Greece, the team management promised to change the car into the direction I have been wanting for the tests we have planned in three weeks time,” said Rovanpera on his official website.

One thing for sure, the Finn will not be driving the Fabia on the asphalt roads of Rally Deutschland.

“I already informed the team in Greece that I will not be driving with that car in Germany. Even my home event in Jyvaskyla is fairly unsure. However, I will be taking part into the rest of the rallies I have promised to drive, providing that the development tests bring results,” concluded Rovanpera.
