Juan Pablo Montoya wants ex-F1 stars to judge controversial incidents.
Montoya is still seething about his clash with Michael Schumacher in Sunday’s Brazilian Grand Prix. The Colombian believes the Ferrari man should have been penalised for the incident.
The incident came two weeks after Montoya was handed a controversial penalty in Malaysia. The Williams driver is convinced that the time has come now to let ex-racers adjudicate on racing incidents.
He told Autosport magazine: "I think the time has come for the FIA to put someone with previous racing experience up in race control to be able to judge on incidents like these.
"He needs to be someone who is brave enough to punish every driver the same – no matter who they are or which team they drive for. And the punishments need to be handed out equally to all drivers for similar mistakes so there is some consistency in what happens."

Vind ik geen slecht idee. In the good old days, toen ik nog naar ITV kon kijken, vond ik dat het commentaar van Brundle toch altijd van inzicht blijk gaf. Ex-coureurs weten waarover ze spreken, dus waarom niet?
