Formule Le Mans, opstapje naar het echte werk?

Le Mans organiser the ACO and the Oreca team have joined forces to create a new endurance racing feeder series for 2009.
Formula Le Mans will use an LMP2-derived open prototype, built by Oreca at Le Mans and fitted with a 420bhp V8 engine. The 14-round series will take place over seven meetings next season, five of which will be at Le Mans Series' events.

Geen slecht idee maar het is niks nieuws zoals de ACO-directeur willen laten uitschijnen.

Het is en blijft een fransman die wss denkt dat de zon om Frankrijk draait  Er zijn diverse prototype kampioenschappen in Europa waar men met prototypes kan rijden, zelfs tot het nivo van een LMP2. VdeV UK, VdV FR, een italiaans prototype kampioenschap en eentje in de regio Oostenrijk/Hongarije.
By the way, iemand nog ooit iets vernomen van Formula X?
