Het DTC was een van de betere toerisme kampioenschappen in Europa maar in de laatste paar weken hebben ze daar aardig wat slecht nieuws te verteren gehad.

Autoforum Racing Team Silkeborg announced today that the team has decided to bow out of the Danish Touring Car Championship. After a hard fought 2008 season, where the driver line-up changed several times, the decision has now been made to take a time-out from the series.

The team of the newly crowned Danish Touringcar Cup Champion, Team Peugeot Køge Sport, has announced their decision to close their doors. 2008 was the most successful year for the team, the DTC Cup was won by Robert Schlünssen and the Peugeot Spider Cup was also won by Ronny Wechselberger and Mike Mathiesen. But the financial crisis has put an end to future development of the team, with the closure as an immediate consequence.
