Surprising, but welcome, news emerged today of a full-season entry in the GT1 class of the Le Mans Series - a Saleen S7R for a new team run by an old hand.
Full Speed Racing is American owned, but will be run by Graham Nash's NCK Motorsport'; and its plans for 2009 include the full LMS, an entry for the Le Mans 24 Hours, and possibly an FIA GT campaign with a second S7R.
The team's primary car is the ex-Zakspeed, ex-PeKa Racing machine that ended 2008 with a win at the FIA GT San Luis round, while the second is a former RML car from 2004. The team will be run out of Coventry, with an Austrian base also available for use.
