Medical Equipment.
Medical equipment available during the Grand Prix is as follow:
hospital structures for treating casualties (medical center)
the Princess Grace Hospitabile Center (medical center of the event) is only a five minutes drive from the circuit. This modern hospital has advanced technology equipment, nuclear magnetic resonnance, scanner and highly qualified surgeons for general traumatology and rachidi orthopedics.
the Cardio-Thoracic Center overlooks the circuit and can treat all thoracic traumatisms.
the Regional Hospitabile and University Center of Nice can treat all traumatology including neurosurgery. Nice hospitals are 30 minutes away by road and 10 minutes by helicopter.
for severe burns, the Marseille University Hospitals is only 60 minutes flight by helicopter.

N.B.
The present methods of ressucitation on the road can help the driver during disincarceration and extraction and avoid additional injuries.
It must be made clear that there may sometimes be a considerable lapse of time between the accident and transportation to hospital.
Because the Monaco circuit lies within the town and the medical structures are numerous and specialized, its specifications are much superior to those, strict enought, imposed by the Medical Commission of the F.I.A.
