The race was abandoned on lap 55, which is just over three-quarter distance, the point at which full points should be awarded to the winner.
But Schumacher, who crashed out of the incident-packed Interlagos race, argued that since the result was declared on countback to lap 53 – which is under the three-quarter mark – half points should have been awarded.
Schumacher told German television: "One gets full points if three quarters of the distance is completed which would be 54 laps. 55 laps were raced but two are deducted and based on this Raikkonen was declared the winner.
"If the FIA say that more laps were raced then they must declare Fisichella the winner. It will be interesting to see how they explain this."
Schumacher is the first F1 figure to query the result. Even Jordan, who lost most due to the countback system, have insisted that they accept the stewards’ verdict.
