In 2005 niet alleen een Tunesiër in de Minardi, maar ook een Rus in de Jordan, nl. Vitaly Petrov.
In 2002 maakte deze rus zijn debuut in de "Lada one-make saloon car championship", zonder enige ervaring in karts. In 2003 werd de overstap gemaakt naar het Italiaanse FRenault 2000 kampioenschap voor het team van Euronova (Sospiri) . Tijdens de eerste race was de Rus "dead-last".......4 seconden trager dan de rest. Progressie heeft ie wel gemaakt, de laatste race werd ie vijfde. De daar opvolgende race voor het Brits FRenault winterkampioenschap op Donnington sloot hij winnend af!!!! Wellicht dat A.J. hem heeft zien rijden en er misschien iets meer vanaf weet?
Twee weken terug zijn debuut in de EuroF3000 op Cagliari, oftewel de Rus staat in the picture bij geldwolf Jordan.
