Flavio Briatore's girlfriend, 30-year-old supermodel Heidi Klum, is three months pregnant with their first baby, it was revealed on Tuesday.

The 53-year-old boss of Formula One team Renault, Briatore, has been dating the German-born beauty for the past twelve months.

A joint statement read: 'Heidi Klum and Italian businessman Flavio Briatore are happy to announce they are expecting a child in the spring.'

Briatore, presently in Kenya on a training camp with his new F1 line-up, said earlier this year that he wouldn't rule out marriage to Klum. 'Heidi is the one, I know that,' he said. 'She's fantastic, everything is possible. Marriage, a family, I can imagine doing all that with Heidi.'

Klum was asked what she saw in the grey-haired, cigarette-smoking Italian: 'His charisma and his manner are what's important, not appearance,' she answered.

Briatore once dated Klum's modelling cohort, Naomi Campbell, but he insists that he doesn't only have eyes for millionaire beauties.
