Tristan Gommendy will make his debut in the World Series by Nissan
The 2003 Season allowed the French squad Saulnier Racing to finish its first year of the World Series by Nissan in a positive way, with Bruno Besson visiting the podium three times and achieving one pole position. Saulnier Racing faces its second season with good hopes, and will trust the drive of one of its Dallara Nissan cars to the driver Tristan Gommendy.
“Having Tristan with us will let us go over a new period in terms of results. Our first season gave us a good experience in this discipline. Besides that, this Series will be the perfect match for Gommendy's racing career. Certainly he is one of the best French values in the single seater competition”, says team-owner Serge Saulnier.
Tristan Gommendy, former French F3 Champion and winner of the Macao GP in 2002, has an important background in single-seaters. Current member of the FFSA team, we putted some impressive drives last year in the FR V6 Eurocup, finishing third.
His first drive with the Dallara Nissan will take place the next 9 of March at El Jarama Circuit, close to Madrid. Gommendy is keen to drive the 450 HP car.
”The Dallara Nissan from the World Series is a very competitive car and its driving must be quite pleasant. Saulnier Racing has achieved some good results even though they were totally newcomers. Together we can do great things, specially after the winter development work in the factory”.
