Lauda hasn't driven a Formula One car since 1985, and got back behind the wheel today of a modern F1 car to get a feel for the chassis and improve his communications on the car with Jaguar drivers Irvine and De la Rosa.

After completing an installation lap this morning (Sunday) the Jaguar team boss went out for another lap and spun in turn two, which is a very tight corner. After Lauda and the Jaguar R2 returned to the pit the Austrian went out again and lost the car in turn two again.

Lauda is expected to drive again later on today at the Valencia circuit.
Dat hij nu geen lap-records ging breken kon ik ook wel begrijpen, maar 2 keer van het circuit in 3 ronden is toch wel veel.

Talking Dikkie Lauda...
Da's toch normaal! Met Niki in de wagen ligt het zwaartepunt zo hoog dat hij zoals in het karten met 2 wielen van de grond gaat in scherpe bochten, de boel begint te schuiven...en dan wordt de piloot passagier, lol.
Het kan ook zijn dat hij minder handig is als een aap, want naar het schijnt kan elke aap met een F1 rijden.
(wat ook kan zijn is dat er wat bruine zeep, die ze aan de zijkanten van de cockpit gesmeerd hadden om de Niki erin te wurmen, op de banden terecht gekomen is)

Dat van die zeep, dat zal delarosa dan wel gedaan hebbe.
Hij had namelijk verklaard dat hij lauda graag zag verongelukken in de f-wagen...

k hoop da da eindelijk die stomme lauda zen
ogen heeft geopend ; op jan en alleman
commentaar geven ma altem t zelf moe doen

mja, en ik zit er eigenlijk met ongeduld op te wachten. Alhoewel dat zijn commentaar vaak onzin is, is het toch altijd wel plezant om te horen.

Lauda beweert dat Pedro de oorzaak van de ongelukken is.
Hij wou namelijk even laat remmen als Pedro.
