Jan Heylen heeft tijdens de eerste kwalificatie pech gehad. Hij belde zojuist zijn relaas door. Het liep behoorlijk goed maar in de 5de ronde ging hij rechtdoor in bocht 1. Hij kon ondanks een kapotte cardan de pits bereiken waar deze vervangen werd maar dit mocht niet baten. Vasser en Tracy gingen in de muur en na enkele ronden geel kwam de rode vlag uit. Hierdoor kon Jan geen tweede keer voor een tijd gaan en strandde hij op de laatste plaats.

Zondagavond wordt de race in de WHEELS live uitgezonden op het groot scherm. De fanclub van Jan gaat aanwezig zijn. We hebben met Jan afgesproken dat hij na de race even contact met ons opneemt om zijn verslag te doen. Dus voor een leuke autosportavond kan je best na de BELCAR in Francorchamps doorkomen naar Zolder...

Jan Heylen (R)(#11) moved up from P14 to P10
en nog 60 sec. push to pass over

& a big pile up @ the first corner

ze hebben de Race Director via de champcarsite tool verbeterd dit jaar ...

Knap zevende. Ok, ze vielen daar allemaal als vliegen af, maar Jan wist zijn wagen toch op de baan te houden. Dat is uiteindelijk wat telt bij de finish.

k ben zo efkes de standings etc aan het bekijken. blijkbaar hebben enkel Bourdais en Heylen tijdens de wedstrijd aan de leiding gereden. t staat wel mooi
