wiiiieeeeeeee 3dagen op een jaar tijdens F1 tabaksreclame voor 2003 / 2004
en ook op zolder maar kwee ni voor welk event

awel da was juist in het VRT nieuws ook maar daar ging het enkel over de GP F1. Er zou al een meerderheid voor bestaan in de senaat van liberalen en Franstalige socialisten. er is nog hoop

AUTO/MOTOR nieuws TABAKSRECLAME IN FRANCORCHAMS 2003-04 Tabaksreclame zal in 2003 en 2004 dan toch toegelaten zijn op de Formule 1- wedstrijden in Francorchamps en auto- races in Zolder. In de Senaat is er een meerderheid om de wet tegen tabaksreclame van de SP.A'er Vanvelthoven om te buigen. De Franstalige partijen PS en MR en de VLD willen de tabaksreclame gedurende drie dagen per jaar toelaten. Volgens VLD-fractieleider Jeanine Leduc zijn de evenementen zonder die reclame in hun voortbestaan bedreigd. In de EU geldt het verbod op tabaksreclame pas vanaf 2005, maar België besliste om dat verbod sneller in te voeren. vrt tt

Het amendement is door de commissie goedgekeurd nu nog in de plenaire vergadering en het is gebakken!

Aelvoet op VTM: "De regering heeft hier niet over gesproken, de regering weet hier niks van af. Ik ga er niet mee akkoord." hiermee doelde ik op de groenen en ja de SPA zit er ook voor iet tussen

JULY 15, 2002 Belgian politicians screw things up once again THE politicians of Belgium have a talent for trying to drive Grand Prix racing out of the country. The circuit has remained part of the F1 calendar because it is a such a good circuit and because Bernie Ecclestone had a financial interest in the track.
But the politicians seem intent on screwing everything up and are once again campaigning to ban tobacco advertising, despite the fact that the F1 circus is committed to stopping tobacco advertising in the autumn of 2006. The Belgians are pushing through legislation to ban tobacco advertising from July 31, 2003 and the government seems unwilling to compromise. There have been attempts by members of the parliament to introduce amendments to the anti-tobacco bill but these have failed to achieve the modification desired, to allow tobacco advertising for world class events in Belgium between the autumn of 2003 and the end of 2006. A proposal was made to allow tobacco advertising for the next three years but this was rejected. It is worth noting that during the discussions two significant things happened: a Belgian senator pointed out that without the Grand Prix it is unlikely that the Spa-Francorchamps circuit will survive while another suggested that after Spa's F1 program has collapsed there might be a chance for Zolder to take over. This is about as likely to happen as there being a Grand Prix in Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea. Volgens MSA (vorige week) zouden Magny-Cours en Spa in 2003 van plaats wisselen. Op deze wijze zou de GP van België toch kunnen blijven doorgaan.
Als de FIA (lees 'Bernie') zo veel moeite doet om Spa op de kalender te houden, geloof ik nooit dat men deze GP gaat schrappen ten voordele van bijvoorbeeld Rusland. Als Spa het langst achterpoortjes weet te rekken tot in 2006 zitten we vrij safe.  Dus: - 20 juli Spa - 06 juli Silverstone - * Verplichte vakantie van 3 weken * - Eind augustus Magny-Cours
