Holden Monaro's to run at Spa 24 hours in 2004?
Here's a nice one,
After their second win at the Bathurst 24 hours race a couple of weeks ago. Holden Motorsport are looking to expand their Monaro program for next year. A team will run one, two Monaro's badged as Vauxhall Monaro's in next years British GT Championship Cup Car Class. That"s one project. But more important, Holden would like to return to the Spa 24 hours! The factory team took part in the Belgian classic several times during the mid'80s with some very big, powerful but fragile touring cars. Peter "Brockie" Brock loves the Spa track and would be the first to give the go ahead for this project. It would make some sense for Holden to run in this event. The cars could run in the national GT class in their current spec. The race is one of the greatest endurance tests and could make some great PR down under. Their power output should almost be the same as that of a Chrysler Viper in endurance trim. Lets hope that they find the money down under.... |

Lets hope they do indeed.
