************************ BAS LEINDERS IS KAMPIOEN VAN BELGIE *************************************** Formule-3000 piloot Bas Leinders is door de nationale autosportfederatie gekroond tot Kampioen van België. De Limburger heeft deze onderscheiding vooral te danken aan zijn twee tweede plaatsen in het voorbije F-3000- kampioenschap. Ook boekte Leinders twee zeges in het New Procar-kampioenschap. "Deze bekroning kan er mee voor zorgen dat België volgend jaar opnieuw een F1-piloot heeft", verklaarde een dolgelukkige Leinders achteraf. Maar Leinders deed ook een oproep om de laatste hindernis weg te werken. "Het enige wat nog ontbreekt om daar volgend jaar te rijden zijn de centen." uit de tekst van leinders kun je dus concluderen dat hij er van uitgaat dat Prost in 2002 gewoon meedoet.......?
