Jan Baranovic spotted this long tail McLaren for sale on e-bay. It’s the 1997 FIA GT Suzuka “Lark” car, entered by Team Goh, finishing ninth in the hands of Sekiya, Nakaya and Tsuchiya. Before that, as the first of the long tails, it was the development chassis for the nine long tails that followed.

The car stayed in Japan throughout 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002, racing in the JGTC. It had one win, at Mine in the last round in 2001.

The car is supplied with an engine with 5,000 kilometres on it, and a spare that has run for 10,000 kilometres, and which therefore needs a rebuild. There’s also an extensive spares package.
