(18 januari 2003) Vandaag was de tweede dag van Race&Rally in Maastricht. Jos Verstappen, Raymond Vermeulen en Huub Rothengatter waren ook vandaag weer van de partij. Jos had het erg druk met handtekeningen uitdelen. Ook op de stand van de Jos Verstappen Fanclub was het bijzonder druk. Voor de Minardi merchandise moeten de fans nog wat geduld betrachten maar er was al een zwart t-shirt te koop met achterop de tekst 'I trust Jos the Boss'! Met aan de voorzijde een afbeelding van zijn helm en nog een handtekening. Het nieuwe item ging grif van de hand.

Huub Rothengatter genoot zichtbaar. "Het is hier helemaal toppie, fantastisch." En niet geremd door enig understatement: "ik heb nog nooit zoveel Formule 1 wagens bijelkaar gezien. Het complete Formule 1 veld is hier aanwezig. Maar dat is het niet alleen. Je weet niet waar je kijken moet; sportscars, rally auto's, motoren. Perfecte interviews op het podium. En in de arenahal is het een en al actie; stunts met motoren en rally auto's, teveel om op te noemen. Ik kijk mijn ogen uit."

Morgen is de laatste dag om je ogen uit te kijken. Dan is ook Jos Verstappen er weer, vanaf een uur of elf. Ook Paul Stoddart, de teambaas van Minardi, komt een kijkje nemen.

Er zijn enkele prachtige babe-pics in aantocht .......... jammer dat een van de borsten was bezoedeld met een handtekening van Jos Verstappen.

Kunnen we dat soms "photoshoppen"?

Bij deze nog een woord van dank aan de fam. Perdieus voor het ter beschikking stellen van hun VW Funcup. Dat was een schot in de roos, in Nederland kent men het begrip VW Funcup niet.

Menig bezoeker heeft zich krom gebogen om de cockpit te aanschouwen

bangelijk marshal
hopelijk komen er snel fotootjes van de rest van de beurs
morgenvroeg het laatste examen en dan kan ik mij weer concentreren op de paddock

volgens mij hebben we het eerste nieuwe lid van onze flyeractie op race & rally te pakken , welkom

Had beloofd om een verslagje te tikken............dat is uitgemond in een pittige brief naar Race & Rally. Wie hem wil lezen......stuur maar een mailtje.
