1. Makinen 2. Sainz 3. Radstrom 4. Burns 5. Loix 6. Thiry met heel deze deelnemerslijst wordt het niet gemakkelijker om een top 6 te maken

Citroen is al thuis en Panizzi heeft straftijd!
Alle drie de Citroens hadden motorproblemen, Panizzi 2 minuten en 10 seconden straftijd door Transmissie problemen

disappointing start to the opening rally of the season, the Monte Carlo Rally. SS2, the 36,78km long Sisteron / Thoard stage has been cancelled due to the spectator volume crowding the twisty mountain roads.
This has also cast a doubt of this afternoon's running, as SS4 is a repeat of SS2, and unless the crowds disperse it remains to be seen if the drivers will take to the stage later on today. 't is nie waar he!!!!!
Loix waarschijnlijk een gebroken voet na een ongeluk in Stage 3! Zijn teammaat Schwarz is 7de overall, Makinen is eerste. De Mitsubishi's spelen voorlopig een figurantenrol. Duval was 3de in SS1 in de Super 1600 of Junior kampioenschap.

Slechts nieuws
op SS3 ongeval van Freddy Loix Hyundai's Freddy Loix had an accident in SS3. He was transferred to hospital with a suspected broken foot. Co-driver Sven Smeets is fine. Bericht van www.rally-live.com Spijtig voorval laten we hopen dat het niet te erg is. greetz wilmai www.corsa-racing.be
