Castroneves naar Jaguar?

_______________________________________________ Indy Racing League frontrunner Helio Castroneves says he's been told Jaguar is interested in offering him a drive for next season. The Brazilian was at Indianapolis for the grand prix at the weekend, where he was told about the potential deal. "I didn't know anything about it until Roger (Penske) told me he was talking to them (Jaguar) for me and he wanted me to talk with a certain person from Jaguar but I wasn't able to find him," Castroneves told ESPN. "I finally found Jackie Stewart and he said he would pass on the message to the right person. I want to know what's going on and I don't have any offer yet but if it's serious I'm going to go after this." Castroneves had his first experience of an F1 car when he tested for Toyota at Paul Ricard two weeks ago. It was an experienced he enjoyed and he felt sure there was plenty more time to come from his driving. "My timing was off a little in the beginning of my test but I picked it up pretty quick," he said. "I know I can turn right and left and if I'd have had one more day I know I could have picked up another second." ________________________________________________ Hij weet zelf dus blijkbaar van niks  Ik zou het al bij al enorm leuk vinden als ie er kan rijden. Hij is op zijn best in street and road courses en een agressieve rijstijl! het kan de F1 alleen maar ten goede komen zeg ik...

_______________________________________________ Jaguar has denied that it has made any approach to Helio Castroneves with regard to a drive in 2003 and stated that the Indy Racing League star is not in the running for a seat in the team. Team spokesman Nav Sidhu told AUTOSPORT.com: "We have not approached Helio Castroneves, nor do we have any intention of offering him a test." Castroneves was reportedly told by his IRL boss Roger Penske that Jaguar was interested in him at Indianapolis this weekend. The Jaguar board is due to meet on Friday, and when asked if the Castroneves situation would be discussed Sidhu said: "Absolutely not. __________________________________________________ Bron : autosport.com

Irvine - Webber lijkt me een aanvaardbare line-up voor volgend seizoen. De La Rosa lijkt me uitgeblust + heeft laatste tijd heel wat negatieve kritiek mogen slikken van Bad Irv'.

Ik denk dat bij jaguar alles nog mogelijk is. Pizzonia heeft een indrukwekkende test achter de rug en krijgt de volle steun van Frank Williams.... en van mij ook trouwens
Webber is eveneens nog mogelijk...we zullen zien.
