ALMS 2009, is het nog wel de naam Le Mans waardig?
Wat moeten we met dit kampioenschap aan in 2009? Is het wel een kampioenschap? Als je naar de lijst kijkt voor de eerste testen op Sebring dan kan een mens daar niet vrolijk van worden.
http://americanlemans.com/assets/pdfs/WT_Entry.pdf Het is een test, het is nog vroeg maar de aantallen zullen niet spectaculair stijgen voor de deelnemers die een heel jaar actief zijn in deze klasse.

Is idd. een alles behalve veel van te verwachte signaal naar het verloop van het seizoen toe.
Enigste wat ik er ga volgen is eigenlijk de prestatie van de BMW M3, hoe hij het er van afbrengt tegen de Porsche en Ferrari's in GT2.

Het zou echt balen zijn moest het deelnemersveld zo beperkt blijven als het er nu naar uitziet. Ik volg ALMS pas sinds augustus ofzo maar het was naar mijn mening wel het beste wat er op endurancevlak te zien is.

Dat gaat van kwaad naar erger. De kwaliteit zit bij de ALMS altijd wel goed maar als er bijna geen deelnemers zijn, wordt het wel een heel saaie bedoening. Jammer voor zo'n kampioenschap, want het is toch één van de mooiste vind ik.

Ja lap, wat al een tijdje in de lucht hing is nu ook officieel geworden: Tafel Racing kapt ermee. Ze reden vorig jaar misschien niet met mijn favoriete wagens maar dit is echt wel zonde voor de ALMS.

Porsche heeft foto's vrijgegeven van de nieuwe Porsche 997-RSR:
http://www.endurance-info.com/2009_A...he_2009_03.jpg Naast de opmerkelijke 'motorkap', is ook de achterkant lichtjes gewijzigd. Hopelijk zullen ze hiermee Ferrari terug een pak slaag geven.
