Na het teleurstellende optreden van de ALMS-series voor het seizoen 2009 overweegt HPD (Honda Performance Department) de serie nog voor het eind van het seizoen te verlaten en zich op de IRL te richten. Daarbij viel afgelopen weekend al de naam van Takuma Sato. Die zou misschien nog voor het einde van het seizoen voor het team van Gil De Ferran uitkomen. In de ALMS rijdt de Acura Honda de komende races zonder concurrentie. Ook Fernandez Racing zou eventueel weer naar de IRL terug willen keren.

Waarom Sato niet in de LMP1 of LMP2?

Dat Acura ALMS al weer zou willen verlaten lijkt me erg onwaarschijnlijk.

Ik ben benieuwd of hij dit jaar alleen in de lemans series actief is, zijn er races wat op de zelfde datum vallen als die van de dtm ?
Prémat en Rockenfeller hebben al bewezen dat het kan om in beide kampioenschappen (succesvol) actief te zijn.

Albers zelf is nog niet 100% zeker met Kolles:

Deze namiddag stond er een truck van Barwell Motorsports - Aston Martin in de paddock van circuit Zolder....nochtans zijn er morgen ( donderdag) enkel trainingen voor moto's ?

Morgen namiddag is de testdag van de DSMEC in de namiddag. Zie thread DSMEC voor deelname van Barwell aan 1 of meerdere DSMEC wedstrijden.

In de ochtend rijden de tweewielers.

Zo'n Kolles blijft de gemoederen bezig houden
Nu weet ik niet hoeveel geld hij mee moet brengen maar normaal gesproken moet Albers (en ook Zwolsman, etc) zijn handen dichtknijpen met zo'n kans.

De erste twee races vallen niet samen met DTM dus hij kan DTM rijden.

Het ziet er mooi uit.

De ingenieurs van de 2 wagens zijn Belgen: Jacky Eeckelaert (F1: Honda, Sauber, ...) en Jos Claes (Dallara F3 + Kolles DTM). Iets om fier op te zijn.
