GT's , het tussenseizoen. Nieuwtjes, roddels en ander geneuzel.
Het seizoen nadert zijn einde, het roddel- en nieuwtjes seizoen voor 2004 breekt aan.
Aangezien niet iedereen de Autosport heeft of een member-id bij DSC.com ga ik dus wat kleine nieuwtjes verspreiden, en dat allemaal gratis  *Nissan (lees Renault) is van plan om een one-make serie te gaan maken rondom de nieuwe Nissan 350Z. Deze klasse zou een onderdeel gaan worden van het World Series circuit. *Races op Enna-Pergusa van het Super Racing Weekend behoren tot het verleden, waarschijnlijk Imola *Force One Racing (Alliot dus) zet de ouwe Viper definitief aan de kant voor het FIA GT, voorkeur gaat uit naar een Ferrari 575 GTC. Saleen, Lister, Pagani en zelfs de "nieuwe" Viper behoren tot de mogelijkheden. Alliot denkt dat het makkelijker is om een budget te vinden voor een Ferrari dan voor de andere projecten, ondanks dat de Ferrari de duurste is (+/- 800.000 euro aanschaf) *Laurence Pearce ( Lister ) is aan het praten met RWS (nu met een RS in het N-GT) en Alliot, Laurence is ervan overtuigd dat we volgend jaar 6 Listers aan de start zien  *Motor troubles in FIA GT land. Vanaf 2004 één motor per weekend, vanaf 2005 drie motors voor het hele seizoen...........althans dit zijn de plannen van Ratel. Niets is zeker, maar enkele teams zien dit wel zitten.

Vette roddel: John Bosch zou een tweetal 550's of 575's gekocht hebben om deel te nemen aan de FIA GT of LMES...........het hoe en wat weet ik niet, maar ik hou u op de hoogte zodra er meer bekend is.

drie motoren per seizoen = ok maar één per weekend? je kan toch nooit weten wanneer je motor stuk gaat? hou het op drie per seizoen, en als je wilt kan je die in één race verprutsen, maar bv net voor de 24 in de kwalis je motor opblazen betekent dus niet deelnemen aan de belangrijkste race van het jaar voor hen! Een fout zinnetje dus!

Denk dat er op neer zal komen dat als je in 2004 twee motors op een weekend nodig hebt dat er dan iets van een straf volgt. Achteraan starten, straftijd of puntenreductie of iets anders in die geest.......
Denk alleen dat Toine H. uit E., Nederland dit niet echt ziet zitten

Een paar kleine "news snippets"
* De 1000 km race op 09-11 is sold out Reeds 40 wagens waren ingeschreven voor deze race mid vorige week. De verwachting van de ACO was dat er uiteindelijk meer dan 50 inschrijvingen (circuit maximum) zouden volgen. In dat geval zou de welbekende en tevens beruchte franse selectieprocedure toegepast worden * PTG is terug met een BMW in de ALMS. PTG dat bekend werd met de inzet van de spraakmakende BMW M3 V8 GTR (de enige echte) gaat het in de "Petite Le Mans" proberen met een BMW M3 V6. Een van de rijders is de welbekende Stuck. *TVR heeft de intentie om de LMES te gaan rijden met twee TVR T400R's. Voor Le Mans heeft men het plan opgevat om een wagen in te zetten voor Amanda Stretton en twee van haar vriendinnetjes *In 2004 kon er weleens een SuperMini meerijden in de Britse GT's. Alan Docking Racing heeft een replica gebouwd van de Qvick 2002 Mini. Althans als ik de foto bekijk komt ie het dichtste in de buurt van het model 2002. De wagen heeft zijn debuut gemaakt tijdens de afgelopen race van de Britcars. Heb ooit eens vernomen dat Qvick een Mini verkocht had aan een stel britten.........weet niet of er dus nog een Mini in het spel is. Het geval ziet er overigens foei-lelijk uit, paars met geel. De eigenaar is een of andere IJsco-man.....zal wel iets met de kleur te maken hebben
