FIA GT 2005 Round 3: Silverstone

De Aston Martins nemen onmiddelliljk al het voortouw.

Het wordt dit weekend een mooi duel tussen Aston Martin, Maserati en Corvette, denk ik.

De 2 Aston Martins, 4 Maseratis en Corvette binnen 1 seconde. Dat wordt spannend

Zou me niks verbazen als die MC12's nog sterker uit de hoek gaan komen dit weekend, en dat Bouchuts 550 zich ook nog vooraan meld in de qualy. De Corvette, Bouchut en 1 van de MC12's hebben echter een probleem dat de Astons en de andere MC12's niet hebben: paydrivers. Longin is de beste van het stel denk ik (Buncombe/Zlobin/Vasiliev/Fomenko) maar toch; een belemmering voor Hezemans en Kumpen (waar de anderen belemmeringen zijn voor Bouchut & Peter).

Met hoeveel ballast rijden de Maseratis trouwens? De Aston Martins sleuren 40 kg extra mee omdat ze de eerste in FIA GT racen.

De Maserati is inderdaad vooral sterk tijdens de race. Ze kunnen een enorm snel tempo blijven rijden.

Ze gaan terug testen om de problemen van de versnellingsbak te fixen. Dit jaar is maar een beperkte deelname gepland.

Niet meer dan logisch dat Aston vooraan staat aangezien het een fabrieksteam is. Wel maar een mager veld vind ik zo...

Inderdaad een mager veld. Vorige race waren het nog net iets meer dan 30 wagens. En ook bij WTCC slechts 26 wagens, terwijl het de vorige races er altijd 30 of meer waren

't is over't watere hè... Wtcc telden vorige 2 manches ook mee voor Italiaans kampieonschap bvb. dat zijn toch 'n paar wagens en ik vermoed dat in Fia Gt voor de one-off's à la Lambo 'n verplaatsing dichterbij huis interessanter is wedden dat Reiter in Ochsersleben erbij is ?

Mager?
4 Maserati MC 12's, 2 Aston Martin DBR9's, 1 Lister Storm GT, 2 Ferrari 575 GTC's, 3 Ferrari 550's, een Corvette C5-R, 2 Saleen S7R's ...
Kwalitatief is het toch sterk, kwantitatief is iets anders ...

De Astons mag je eigenlijk niet tellen eh. De Lister, Saleen en 575 zijn kwalitatief toch van een veel lager niveau als de andere GT1's. Blijft er niet veel meer over eh

Paddocker Vandijk is ook te gast op Silverstone, hij verricht nuttig werk


Nou maar hopen dat de echte tegenstanders van GLPK-Carsport vooral dit beeld gaan zien morgen
