Piquet zegt bye bye...
...nog voor Renault de kans kreeg om hem officieel een schop onder zijn kont te kunnen geven.
Als je de verklaring van Piquet op z'n website leest, is hij niet mals voor Flavio en Renault, en ondanks zijn naam, moet je hem wel nageven dat hij het zowiezo nooit makkelijk heeft gehad. Ronddraaien in een team dat maar rond één coureur draait, het is duidelijk iets waar enkele Brazilianen al mee hebben moeten leven. De nieuwe testlimieten van de FIA hebben hem ook geen deugd gedaan. Aangaande Flavio, ik denk dat Kovalainen daar ook wel min of meer over kan meespreken na z'n F1-debuut in 2007.

Spijtig dat hij er niet meer bij is, maar van de andere kant maakt het niets uit.
Het draait daar toch alleen maar rond Alonso. Ik zou Piquet wel eens willen zien in een wagen wat goed gaat, en een team waar hij zich goed in voelt. Het zal nog eens een leuke bezigheid zijn om de stoelendans voor 2010 te volgen.

Ik heb de race dit weekend niet gezien, maar op papier heeft Grosjean het niet slecht gedaan: 10de tijdens vrije training op zaterdag, 14de tijdens kwalificatie, 15de tijdens race. 9de snelste ronde tijdens de race, sneller dan Alonso!

Ik herinner mij dat er destijds wel gezegd werd "wat een geluk voor Alonso dat Piquet net dan crashte, maar zoiets kan je echt niet op voorhand plannen"...
Wèl dus. Aiaiai, als dat kan en gebeurt, durf ik er mijn hand niet voor in het vuur steken dat dit een taktiek is die misschien nog wel gebruikt geweest is... Wat een circus zeg!
