Enkele maanden terug zwierf het gerucht op het internet rond m.b.t. Peugeot, Le Mans en het studiemodel 907. Een hele tijd hebben we daar niets meer gehoord...........waarschijnlijk een kwakkel
 Volgens een bericht op www.pitstoptv.be schijnt het gerucht in Frankrijk weer de ronde te doen......tja, mocht die wagen ooit het circuit bereiken dan is dat een prachtige aanwinst.

Fred Goddard Racing wil ook deelnemen aan het LMES met een Reynard LMP900. Zeg maar de voorloper van de Zytek
Zal er wel eentje worden met een mooi geluid, er ligt een Judd V10 4L in.De kans dat Fredje gaat racen? Ze zijn nog op zoek naar piloten met een budget. De wil is er, of we ze aan het werk zien...... time wil tell

 Overigens las ik de zopas in de Autosport van afgelopen week (vandaag pas ontvangen  ) dat er voor Le Mans / LMES met ballastgewichten gewerkt gaat worden.Ze hebben zelfs "richttijden" voor GT1 en GT2. Voor Le Mans gelden 3.55 en 4.08 voor GT2 als normtijden. De C5-R en de 550 hebben reeds 35 kg ballastgewicht te pakken. Wagens die in 2005 sneller zijn dan deze gestelde tijden gaan wat dikker worden in 2006

dat richttijden systeem vind ik wel stom. (metteen van toen ik het vrijdag in mijn goed op tijd ind e winkel aanbelande autosport las
 ) waarop basseer je je dan? Waarom straf je iemand die iets goed doet en daardoor een voorsprong opbouwt? als ze dan toch tragere wagens willen (waarom niet ? voor de veilighied enzo) dan moeten ze maar heel het reglement van die klasse aanpassen.

Ja, ballastgewichten zijn belachelijk voor een uithoudingsrace zoals 24 uur van Le Mans. Wie de snelste en betrouwbaarste wagen heeft, moet gewoon winnen.
Trouwens waarom enkel ballast voor de GTs en niet voor de prototypes?

De meeste teams hebben al zelf richttijden, waarom die teams dan nog verder beperken daarin? En als ze bij de GT's gewichten bijzetten en niet bij proto's, dan wordt het inhalen veel gevaarlijker. Er klagen veel piloten van proto's over de (relatief) traag rijdende GT's. Het zal er niet beter op worden...

Hetgeen wat ze nu gaan doen is de wagens die boven die richttijden benadelen. Dat moet je niet doen, dat is inmenging ind e competitie. Je kan wel zeggen Ok, nu gaan ze toch wat hard iedere wagen in die klasse weegt vanaf nu 200Kg meer.
