Subaru RCR Cup in 2007, een mix van cricuit, oval en rallycross!

Bezoekers van de 24 uur van Zolder hebben wellicht de flyer gezien, lezers van de Start zien al enkele maanden de advertorials voorbij komen. Enkele Zuid-Nederlandse ondernemers willen een nieuw concept lanceren in 2007. Leuk idee, maar levensvatbaar? Als basis gebruikt men een Subaru Impreza STI "pimped" by Prodrive. De kalender bestaat uit mix van circuitracing, oval en rallycross. Dat klinkt leuk maar of daar mensen voor te vinden zijn? Het zijn drie totaal verschillende culturen en of je dat in 1 klasse kunt stoppen zal de toekomst uitwijzen. Enkele jaren teurg had de ZAC een vergelijkbaar idee om met Scooby's zoiets te organiseren. Daar was uiteindelijk geen belangstelling voor. De opzet was wel geheel anders. De RCRcup is gebaseerd op arrive & drive. Alleen je helm (en beurs  )meenemen is voldoende.Wie zit erachter? Mark Vlassak, voormalig Europees rallycrosskampioen en Luck Nelissen. Die kennen we nog uit de Zolder Touring Cup. Twee kleurrijke figuren
