Persoonlijk vind ik de Super League het meest zinloze eenzitters kampioenschap ooit, in een wereld van F2s, GP3s en Formula Masters, enz. Het concept van voetbalteams die zich inkopen in een autosportteam is gewoon te gek voor woorden. Waar komt trouwens al het geld van?
De serie lijkt trouwens ook een outlet voor een hele reeks coureurs die het elders nét niet konden halen... Dat gezegd zijnde ben ik toch blij dat ik gisteren besloten had om iets langer rond te blijven hangen, na een anders saaie voormiddag op Zolder, om de Super League in actie te zien. Het zijn wel knappe wagens

Vandaag even gaan kijken naar de twee wedstrijden, het waren middelmatige wedstrijden. Publieke belangstelling was zeer mager te noemen voor een evenement met een dergelijke uitstraling. Zelfs tijdens de wedstrijd was er plek zat op de tribune aan de Ickx-chicane.
Reden van de magere opkomst? Slechte weer? In tegenstelling tot vorig jaar zag ik dit jaar geen grote supportersgroepen van de deelnemende voetbalclubs op het circuit rondlopen. Dat zou in jaar 2 net meer moeten zijn dan in jaar 1. Het zijn leuke wagens, mooie kleuren en een heerlijk geluidje maar zie nog steeds geen levensvatbaarheid voor deze klasse als het geld van de investeerders na de opstartperiode op is.
