Terug naar Nonkel Tonnie

In het berichtje staat dat ze een overeenkomst bereikt hebben, dat wil dus nog niet zeggen dat die wagen in Eindhoven of Hasselt staat. De tijd die de monteurs en engineers krijgen om één te worden met de wagen gaat wel heel erg kort worden. Begin april gaat het feest weer van start..........

Weinig voorbereiding, niet veel sleutel-ervaring aan de C5-R, weinig testkilometers in de armen. Zie ik het spookje van de DNF's weer opduiken? SRT had in 2003 ook enige tijd nodig om de wagen te leren kennen, die zijn naar ik meen nog op studiereis geweest naar de heren van P&M tijdens Le Mans 2003.

Ben wel blij dat Longin dan waarschijnlijk naar Maserati zal gaan. Competitief lijkt me die maserati beter en iets bedrijfszekerder.

Op pitstop.tv staat meer te lezen over het FIA GT project van Kumpen en Hezemans: FIA GT - Kumpen en Hezemans wachten op bevestiging Corvette

Het is allemaal nog niet in orde.

En in t zelfde artikel begint Kumpen al meteen met modder te gooien naar de Maserati...

Hopelijk voor hun komt die bak snel er aan uit de VS. Als ik t zo lees zit dat er niet direct aan te komen en t seizoen begint al op 10 april... ook niet echt een perfecte voorbereiding.

De Ferrari 550 is nog steeds een goeie wagen en de Aston Martin zou normaal een nog betere wagen moeten kunnen worden. De Saleen mag ook niet onderschat worden en de Ferrari 575 kan er alleen maar snel op geworden zijn met de nieuwste evolutie (andere aerodynamisch pakket).

Ik vind het toch maar een gedurfde uitspraak van Kumpen. Hoogmoed komt voor de val.

Kumpen denkt dus dat de Maserati nog ingetoomd wordt en zijn volle potentieel niet toont.
Als dat waar is, zal de Corvette enkel kunnen dromen van de MC 12 te kloppen, want zelfs nu zijn de beste wagens nog niet in staat de Maserati te kloppen.
En ja, de Corvette de snelste wagen ter wereld? Daar heb ik toch mijn twijfels over.

tjah, als ge ziet dat de Corvette in Amerika onbedreigd was de voorbije 5 - 6 jaar, dan heb ik het toch niet moeilijk omdat te geloven ze...

Trouwens in 2003 was het zeer close tussen Prodrive en Corvette in ALMS.


In Le Mans is Corvette toch niet helemaal superieur toch.

2000: Oreca Viper 1-2, Corvette 3-4
2001: Corvette 1 in GTS, maar wel achter Seikel en Freisinger Porsche 911 (regen)
2002: Corvette 1-2, Viper 3-4
2003: Prodrive Ferrari 1, Corvette 2-3
2004: Corvette 1-2, Prodrive Ferrari 3-4

3 keer winnen in 5 jaar is natuurlijk niet slecht.

MAg je niet echt tellen. Ze hebben toen de corvette gewoon een uurtje in de box gezet anders werd de wagen nat

Trouwens met de Prodrive Ferrari hebben ze al jaren ervaring in FIA GT. Dus voor de meeste circuits (buiten de nieuwe) hebben ze al een zeer goede afstelling om van de vertrekken.
