24 uur van Daytona 2006, trainingen + race
Vandaag zijn de trainingen en kwalificaties van start gegaan voor de 24 uur van Daytona 2006 a.s. weekend. Vorig jaar gingen er 54 kampioenen van start, dit jaar met 68! Link naar de deelnemerslijst

Het "fabrieksteam" van Porsche staat ruim op kop bij de start vanmiddag in Daytona. De pole-tijd van dit jaar was maar liefst 1.4 seconden sneller dan vorig jaar. 16 !! andere DP wagens waren ook sneller dan de pole-tijd van vorig jaar.......16 wagens binnen één seconde voor de start van een endurance wedstrijd. dat zal niet vaak voorkomen.
Lammers neemt de start vanaf P19, het team van Huisman vertrekt vanaf P13.

Vooral het accent van de commentatoren is heerlijk.
Wat humor op dailysportscar van Janos W. : "The 2006 Daytona 24 Hours was given the green flag at 12:10. For the benefit of any NASCAR fans out there, this means that the race will end at 12:10." Last edited by joost; 28-01-2006 at 21:35.

Op dit moment dan weer bezig met een duik in de tabellen, na bijna 10 uur op plaats 21, Huisman op 47 en de Maasen (de Duitser uit Raeren) op P4.
Good old Dieter Quester & Friends op P10 algemeen en eerste in de GT-klasse.
