No Arrows in 2003 !
The Arrows Grand Prix Team have been refused entry by the sports governing body for the 2003 Formula One Championship season. The FIA released the official entry list this morning and only ten teams are listed for entry with an added footnote that the Leafield squad has been excluded.

“An application to compete in the 2003 Championship was also received from Arrows Grand Prix International but was declined for reasons which have been communicated to the Arrows team,” it read.

Als de FIA absoluut nog meer F1-fans wil verliezen moeten ze zo maar voort doen. Er is al zo weinig te beleven en dan wordt het aantal teams dat al op een minimum stond nog eens reduceren.

mja vraag is of nog maandenlang de schijnheilige uithangen veel zou uithouden. Arrows heeft al maandenlang geen GP meer gereden. Alle mooie verhaaltjes ten spijt, maar de kans dat het voor komend seizoen zou lukken is eigenlijk ook zo goed als onbestaande.

team-personeel is er niet meer
ontwikkeling ligt al maanden stil
motor-contract is er niet
geld is er ook niet

Ok er is een team minder, maar nu is er tenminste duidelijkheid over hoeveel teams aan de start staan. Dit is in mijn ogen beter dan beloven dat er 11 teams aan de start staan om dan vast te stellen dat het er maar 10 zijn.

Is er eigenlijk duidelijkheid over Jordans deelname ? DHL is weg en Jordan zit toch ook min of meer in geldnood, had ik ergens gelezen.

't Lijkt me dat F1 echt in één van de donkerste periodes uit haar geschiedenis is geraakt.

Wie wel weg is (en dat is erger) Deutsche Post ... Hoofdsponsor weg ...

owla deutsche post weg EN DHL weg ....

tijd om andere financiële reserves te vinden, anders zou het ook voor jordan snel achteruit kunnen boeren.

Met al die autoraces is het jullie misschien ontgaan dat er in de zakenwereld soms ook enige evolutie kan waargenomen worden. Sinds 2001 heeft Deutsche Post een belang van dik 46% in DHL, dus dat beide namen tesamen verdwijnen lijkt me niet meer dan logisch, dat is gewoon hetzelfde bedrijf.
