Geen slechte zaak voor beide rijders want Button kon fisico toch ni volgen en alonso rijdt met een meer competieve wagen dan zijn Minardike

Alonso had al contract bij Minardi voor 2002...
Maar het hele rijdersveld zit toch momenteel compleet op z'n kop. Volgend jaar heeft bijna elk team wel een ander coureur. Prijs van grootste coureurswissel gaat toch wel naar Prost: Begin 2001: Alesi - Mazzacane na 3 races: Alesi-Burti helft van seizoen: Frentzen-Burti Nu: Frentzen - Enge dat zijn 5 coureurs op 1 jaar

Felipe Massa bij Sauber in 2002! Ferrari zat al te denken aan een testcontract bij Ferrari zelf voor 2002. Sauber heeft Ferrari motoren.......... Van dat testcontract heb ik zelf aan hem gevraagd tijdens de NAV Days op Zolder. Hoop toch zo dat die foto gelukt is.......

Correctie Marshal: Sauber HAD Ferrari-motoren.
Volgend jaar lijkt me dat meer en meer het 2de team te worden van Mercedes. Een terugkeer van de formule Sauber-Mercedes, die in '94 ook al bestond.

Correct, Sauber heeft in F1 nooit met Illmor motoren gereden.

euhm, daar stond toch levensgroot op: Concept by Mercedes Benz in naar ik meen 1993 en 1994.
Waren dus wel Ilmor motoren, maar waren niet "gebadged" als Mercedes. Is Sauber niet het resultaat van het Mislukte Mercedes Benz F1 Team uit '91, 92 ? Sauber is met een flinke zak geld van MB toch gestart?.........maaruh ik denk toch dat Ferrari volgend jaar achterin ligt bij Sauber.

Kleine moeite, Werner. We houden het maar op een rare hersenkronkel. Je wilt niet weten welke kronkels ik in mijn houten kop heb zitten
Maar toch Mercedes en F1, ik blijf het maar niks vinden. Dat die duitsers nou eens eerlijk zeggen dat het nog steeds Ilmor motoren zijn. Het enigste wat uit Stuttgarrt komt zijn de Deutsch Marken.

Massa, the Euro Formula 3000 series champion, completed more than 100 laps of the Italian circuit and set a best time of 1m23.79s in his Ferrari-powered C20, leaving technical director Willy Rampf impressed by his efforts. "It was a pleasure to work with him," said Rampf. "He was very focussed and we were pleased that he did not fall into the trap that is common with inexperienced drivers of trying to run too long on each outing. His times came down very nicely. "Felipe had a steep learning curve to climb during the test, but his confidence led us to ask him to contribute this afternoon to our preparation programme for next week's US GP." Massa had been handed the Sauber test as the team searches for a replacement for Kimi Raikkonen, who switches to the McLaren team next year. Team boss Peter Sauber is known to be interested in the youngster and Massa said he already feels comfortable with the team. "I am happy with the way I've been welcomed by the entire team," said Massa. "I felt very at home, even though I had never met anyone from the team. "I have a lot to learn about F1 and the C20, but I liked the speed and I've been getting used to it. Even a painful neck I had yesterday vanished as the session went on. And today I have improved on the high-speed corners and in the esses as well." Team regular Nick Heidfeld is taking over for the remaining two days of running as the Hinwill-based squad is loathe to let McLaren-bound Raikkonen help with any work on development parts.
