De mexico city topic :)
Zojuist een race gereden. Niet geheel tevreden ik maakte te veel fouten. Helaas doet de computer dat bijna niet
 Desondanks toch heel tevreden. Mijn record verbetert naar 1:54:75 niet slecht vind ik zelf. En dat inclusief enkele schakel foutje's. Ik zie de race met heel veel vertrouwen tegemoet. Nu maar hopen dat de computer en de verbinding een beetje mee werkt en dat mijn ronde tijden wel getelt worden. Dan kunnen jullie zien dat ik niet uit mijn nek loop te lullen

 Ik heb wel een replay van dat rondje, misschien dat je er wat aan hebt, zeker omdat de lijnen op Mexico zo anders zijn dan de groove (hell, ik weet niet eens of ik wel de beste lijn rij  ).

Heb men PB van 1.58.2 naar 1.56.4 gebracht. Maar ik verschoot toen ik plots 3de lag en ging van de baan. Er had misschien meer in gezeten. Maar ben tevreden. Op naar.............(is het Oostenrijk)?

Thanks voor de felicitaties.
Mijn grootste prob was de start na de goede kwalificatie. Ik had gedacht dat ook de qual ging tegenvallen, zeker nadat ik met m'n ploegmaatje dinsdagavond tesamen gereden had. Die was dik 2 secs vlugger. Ook aan m'n qualtijden kan je zien dat het op dit circuit een beetje alles of niets is. Buiten 2 of 3 deftigen ronden hadden de anderen grotendeels naast de baan plaats. De Lotus is volgens mijn bescheiden mening, een te nerveus kreng om er echt mee de limieten te gaan zoeken in Mexico tijdens de race. Na een voorzichtige start, ik heb een ronde of 3 (!) nodig om de banden deftig op te warmen, heb ik geprobeerd om constant te rijden zonder iets te forceren, of teveel van de baan af te raken. In het begin van de race kon Ton goed aanklampen, maar opeens was ik hem kwijt, na de race hoorde ik dat het cyberperikelen waren of zoiets, spijtig. Ik kreeg het effe warm en koud tegelijk toen ik aan de hairpin kwam op het einde van de race. Er stonden 2 auto's pal over de baan, en hier en daar rolde nog een onderdeel. Ik kon er juist langs, en zwaaide eens met de arm, maar kreeg geen teken terug. Daarbij vroeg ik me af of de tegenspelers dit wel kunnen zien? Een goede race dus op een circuit dat zeker géén favoriet was, maar toch veel uitdaging gaf. Laten we ons nu gaan concentreren op de Heidi's. Ze wonen rond het prachtige circuit van Oostenrijk, en bieden naar het schijnt na de race nog grotere uitdaging als het circuit van Mexico, waarbij de G-krachten die optreden in onze bolides gemakkelijk verpulverd worden door de kronkelingen en de evenwichtsoefeningen van deze schonen. (ps: als je nu nog niet kan jodelen, zal je het naar het schijnt kunnen als ze klaar zijn met jou...)

Je doet me al uitkijken naar Oostenrijk Krikke. Let wel, voor de mensen die het circuit nog niet hebben: je moet de versie van de US pits hebben. Er is nog een andere, meer recente en iets natuurgetrouwer versie uit, maar die geeft bij sommigen fps-problemen.
Mijn race gisteren was verre van goed. Vrij vaak gecrasht, zeker in de eerste helft van de race. Mijn vriendin zat naar tv te kijken en wat te kibbelen met Arthur. Ik heb mij nog moeten moeien, want het zou anders uit de hand zijn gelopen. Dat bevordert de concentratie niet uiteraard. Nu ja, meer had er toch niet ingezeten hoor. Tweede geworden met heel veel geluk, niet echt mijn verdienste. Was wel aangenaam verrast door Werner die een heel aantal ronden voor mij reed en verheugde me een tijdje op een strijd tussen hem, BJ en mezelf, maar ik verknalde het telkens weer voor ik echt tot bij jullie geraakte. En plots reed je achter me. Enfin, op naar Oostenrijk.
